If you want a plastic can spray-painted with black paint and scratches that are supposed to represent stars, this is an item for you. I was looking for something a bit better. This projector is cheaply made and very small. I bought it for my 6-month-old daughter’s bedroom, hoping it would help her fall asleep. I turned it on and tried to find a good spot, so that it would project “stars” at least above her crib. To achieve that effect, it would have to be placed at least 4 feet off the floor and in the middle of where you want the “stars” projected, so in my case- in my baby’s crib. Obviously I wasn’t going to do that; I had to find a spot close to the crib, and even then the projection was a lame excuse of a light show. I left it on anyway, because it did light up the room a bit. When I went in to nurse my daughter at 2 am, the lamp was off. I knew it didn’t have a timer, so I thought it was already broken. I put in new batteries and it worked just fine. So, basically, it worked for about 6 hours on 3 NEW batteries. I know it can be used with an AC adapter, but it is not included, so I wasn’t going to buy one before knowing my daughter liked it. I have contacted the seller about getting a refund and am waiting for his response.

I have looked everywhere for a planetarium toy for my daughter and the cheapest I found was 50.00. I looked here and found this one cheap! I thought it might not be that great but I bought it anyways. It turns out, after receiving it really fast, that it is the coolest little thing ever! I tried it out before wrapping it for Christmas and it puts millions of little stars all over the walls and ceiling! You can do just stars or the colors too! You can also adjust the stars for what they would be for each month! The only thing I would change is maybe add an ac adapter in there. It has a place for it but there wasn’t one that came with it. Also, I have a three year old so I will put it some place that she can’t reach it. I will have to be the one to turn it off and on until she gets older.
